Learning outcome statements
On completing this module, participants should be able to:
- Understand the mechanics of options including the rights and obligations that accompany long or short option positions, exercise and assignment and volatility
- Calculate profit, loss, and break-even levels at expiration for basic strategies
- Take basic option strategies and understand the motivation behind implementing a long or short call or put position
