Investing With Smart BETA for DIY Investors

Overview:

This programme teaches DIY Investors to capture market excess returns with reduced risks through an investing strategy called Smart Beta or Factor Based Investing. Combining with over two decades of academic research and easily accessible screeners like SGX Stockfacts, DIY investors finally have the means to achieve market-beating returns through a methodical, quantitative approach towards stock investing.

In this training, students will be taught with two valuation techniques:

Conservative Net Assets Value to select deeply undervalued stocks based on value investing philosophy, and
Gross Profitability Assets that seeks high dividend yielding stocks with outstanding quality characteristics.

Students will learn the theory and formula behind the valuation techniques so they are equipped with the knowledge to perform calculation hands-on. Additionally, they will learn how to apply Smart Beta screening criteria with Stockfacts as well as constructing a portfolio at the end of the programme.

Alvin Chow

Alvin Chow is the CEO of Dr Wealth. He believes that the stock market is one of the best avenues to grow one’s wealth and more Singaporeans should allocate part of their net worth in stocks. He started Dr Wealth to educate individuals on stock investing and using Factors to pick stocks that are more likely to outperform the markets.

Changes

Singapore Exchange reserves the right to make changes to the time, date, syllabus, speakers, venue or cancel the course if warranted by circumstances beyond its control.

Cancellation and Transfer Policy

Cancellation for a registration must be made in writing at least 10 business days before the event and a refund (less a 10% administrative fee of total course fee) will be made. No refunds will be given for cancellations received less than 10 business days prior to the event. All requests for replacement must be made in writing at least 3 business days prior to the event.
